Hydroelectricity :

In November 2002, Hydromega and its partner AECON Group Ltd were retained by both Hydro-Quebec Production and the Natural Resources Ministry of Quebec to develop a 40,6 MW hydroelectric generating station located on the Magpie dam site (on the North-Shore of Quebec).

Wind power :

Hydromega has been interested in the development of wind power projects for about ten years. In 1997, Hydromega settled its first wind measurement tower near SM-1 generating facilities.

Since 2002, Hydromega has intensified its efforts to further develop its expertise in the Gaspe and Matane regions. Since then, the Company has set up several wind measurement masts on different sites selected for their wind potential, accessibility and proximity to the transmission network.

Hydromega has also secured more than 8 000 hectares of private land.

In the coming years, the Company is determined to further develop its activities in Quebec, Canada or elsewhere, and to maintain its leading position amongst independent power producers.
